A global generosity movement!

#GivingTuesday is a global day of giving that harnesses the collective power of individuals, communities and organizations to encourage giving and to celebrate generosity worldwide. Following the retail events of Black Friday, Small Business Saturday, and Cyber Monday, nonprofit organizations rally their supporters for a day of maximum impact. The goal is to create a massive wave of generosity that lasts well beyond that day, and touches every person on the planet.

This #GivingTuesday, GWP will be launching an all-day fundraising campaign to raise money for youth internships in 2021. Our FB fundraising platform will go live at the end of November. Check back for more details!

Fundraising Purpose: We believe that conserving our natural resources goes hand in hand with economic opportunity. Our youth are the future for preserving our natural heritage in this desert region. You can help by donating to reach our goal. Every dollar donated goes toward local youth opportunities to gain experience in restoration, horticulture, leadership, and STEM education through hands-on projects and learning. Join us to help our local youth!

What youth interns will learn:

  • Restoration, horticulture and natural science by working directly with GWP staff in the Gila Native Plant Nursery and in the field.
  • Leadership and professional skills through hands-on work and mentorship.
  • Exploring interests by working on a variety of projects and by interacting with land managers, biologists, and industry leaders.
  • Benefitting the local community by providing jobs and experience to local youth.

All proceeds from Giving Tuesday will go towards providing local youth internships for 2021.
