Frisco Float & Trail: Great Duck Race
Saturday, April 25, 2020 @ Clifton Northernmost Bridge
The first plastic duck river race; a.k.a “The Great Duck Race”, will happen on April 25th in Clifton between the 3 historic bridges along the San Francisco River. All funds will go toward planning and permitting to create a recreational space along the San Francisco River as it flows through Clifton.
How it works? You purchase a duck ($10) or two ($20) or three ($25), and are given a number for each duck. The day of the race, the numbered ducks will be released into the San Francisco River at the northernmost bridge and will “race” to the to the southernmost bridge, about a mile. The first duck to cross the finish line will earn its owner the grand prize…a kayak complete with safety vest and paddle!
